Man Oh Man have I been busy ever since Christmas! I’m getting to the point in my life where I don’t like to take extended breaks from anything because it is so hard to ramp myself back up again. Christmas and New Years does this to me every year. I’m a man of routine and when that routine gets broken I have a hard time getting back to it. It all comes back to momentum I think.
I’ve spent the last 3 weeks making a hard final push to get SI Lead Manager – beta 6 up and ready to use. This entire week I’ve been using the system live to test for bugs and I’ve also had some great help from Chris Peisher. He has really put the program through the ringers and he will be a substantial reason why Beta 6 will be the best yet.
I managed to print out my first batch of mailings yesterday, Yea me! Even though it took an hour or two to work through some of the bugs I have to say that it worked great. It’s pretty cool to be able to merge the data in the database directly with a word document to print out both the letters and their envelopes at the same time. I will never again have a problem where the envelopes printed out in a different order then the letters. That causes a fun game of find the right ‘Smith’!
Anyway, I’m gonna keep this post short as I just wanted to put out an update and get back to coding. Happy New Year Everyone!
